DFW is my home airport. I fly out of here basically every month and have visited most of these lounges firsthand. Terminal D has quietly become one of the best lounge terminals in the country, with the Capital One Lounge, Centurion Lounge, Flagship Lounge, Plaza Premium, and a Chase Sapphire Lounge on the way. The Capital One Lounge and the AA Flagship Lounge are the two true standouts — both deliver food and service quality you do not expect at an airport.
The single most useful thing to know: DFW's Skylink automated train connects every terminal airside, running 24/7 with departures every 2 minutes. You can reach any lounge from any gate in under 10 minutes without leaving security.
Here is every lounge at DFW, organized by terminal, with the credit cards that get you in and what to expect.
DFW Terminal Layout
DFW operates 5 terminals arranged in a semicircle: A, B, C, D, and E. Terminal D is the international terminal and the hub for premium lounge access. American Airlines dominates the airport as its largest hub, with Admirals Clubs in every terminal.
The Skylink train runs airside between all terminals 24/7. Terminals A through D are also connected by walkways and connector bridges. Terminal E is only reachable via Skylink. A new Terminal F is under construction and will connect directly to Terminal D.
Terminal D: The Premium Lounge Terminal
Terminal D has the highest concentration of credit card lounges at DFW. Five distinct lounge options operate within walking distance, plus a Chase Sapphire Lounge expected to open later in 2026.
Capital One Lounge
The Capital One Lounge at DFW is near Gate D22. At 10,000 square feet, it features a Texas-regional design with partnerships with local artists, breweries, and coffee roasters. Over 55 pieces of original artwork by local artists line the walls.
Amenities include a full restaurant-quality dining menu with Texas-influenced cuisine, a craft cocktail bar, shower suites, a cycling room with Peloton bikes, a yoga room, nap pods, luggage lockers, and private workspaces. Hours are 5 AM to 10 PM daily. The food here is genuinely good — not just good for an airport lounge. The local brewery and coffee partnerships give it a distinctly Dallas feel that the other credit card lounges lack.
Access requires a Capital One Venture X card. Guests pay $45 each to enter with a primary cardholder. Non-cardholders can purchase a day pass for $90. Spend $75,000 or more on the Venture X in a calendar year and you get 2 free guests. Children under 2 are free.
As of February 2026, authorized users no longer receive automatic lounge access. Primary cardholders can pay $125 per account for unlimited access for up to 4 authorized users.
Centurion Lounge
The Centurion Lounge at DFW is across from Gate D12, above the D15 security checkpoint. At approximately 13,000 square feet across two wings, it is one of the larger Centurion locations, and an expansion underway will add 50% more space.
The left wing houses the main dining area and full-service bar. The right wing has extra seating, a coffee station, nap area, and shower rooms. The menu features Southwestern cuisine by chef Dean Fearing of Fearing's at the Ritz-Carlton Dallas. Complimentary 12-minute massages are available at the Exhale mini spa.
Access requires an Amex Platinum, Business Platinum, or Centurion card with a same-day boarding pass. The Delta SkyMiles Reserve grants access when flying Delta. Two guests enter free per Platinum cardholder. Additional guests cost $50 each. Free 2-guest access without the spend threshold requires $75,000 in eligible purchases on the Platinum in a calendar year. Hours are 5:30 AM to 10 PM daily.
Starting July 2026, entry is limited to 3 hours before departure, with layover visits capped at 5 hours.
Flagship Lounge
The American Airlines Flagship Lounge sits between Gates D22 and D23. At 23,130 square feet with seating for 350, it is one of the largest Flagship Lounges in the network and occupies AA's biggest hub.
Full-service dining, shower suites, day beds, and a premium bar are standard. The food here is in a different league from the Admirals Clubs — proper sit-down restaurant quality with a menu that rotates. The day beds and shower suites make it one of the best places in the airport to recover on a long layover. If you can get in, this is the single best lounge at DFW.
Access is strictly ticket-based. You need Flagship First or Business Class on a same-day AA long-haul international or transcontinental flight, ConciergeKey status, oneworld Emerald or Sapphire status on a same-day AA or oneworld flight, or Business/First on a oneworld partner. Day passes cost $150 or 15,000 AAdvantage miles. No credit card provides direct access.
Admirals Club (Terminal D)
The Terminal D Admirals Club near Gate D24 serves the international terminal. Hours start at 5 AM daily. Access matches all other Admirals Clubs: membership, the Citi AAdvantage Executive, AA elite status, or a $75 day pass.
Plaza Premium Lounge and Plaza Premium First
Two new Plaza Premium lounges opened in Terminal D in March 2026, near Gate D15 on the second level.
Plaza Premium Lounge offers a hot food buffet, bar, shower access, and Wi-Fi. Hours are 7 AM to 11 PM. Access through Priority Pass, day pass ($68), or Amex Platinum (Global Lounge Collection).
Plaza Premium First is the premium tier with a la carte dining, a lounge ambassador escort, an elevated bar, showers, relaxation areas, a prayer room, and a nursing room. Hours are 7 AM to 10 PM. Access through a $124 day pass, or Priority Pass with a $45 co-pay. Business and First Class passengers on Air France, Emirates, EVA Air, Finnair, and Turkish Airlines receive complimentary access.
The Club DFW
The Club DFW on the mezzanine level near Gate D27 is an independent shared-use lounge. Snacks, light bites, a self-serve bar, Wi-Fi, and a quiet zone. Hours are 4 AM to 10:30 PM. Access through Priority Pass, LoungeKey, or a day pass ($33 to $45).
Coming Soon: Chase Sapphire Lounge
Chase is building an 18,105-square-foot Sapphire Lounge near Gate D35 in Terminal D, expected to open in 2026. Chase Sapphire Reserve cardholders will receive access. This will make DFW Terminal D one of the only terminals in the US with Capital One, Centurion, and Chase Sapphire lounges in the same building.

Bottom Line
DFW is one of the best US airports for credit card lounge access. Terminal D alone has the Capital One Lounge, Centurion Lounge, Flagship Lounge, Plaza Premium, and The Club DFW, with a Chase Sapphire Lounge on the way. The Capital One Venture X offers the widest access at DFW, combining its dedicated lounge with Priority Pass coverage across 7 additional locations, all for a $395 annual fee offset by $300 in travel credits and 10,000 anniversary miles. If you fly American frequently, the Citi AAdvantage Executive covers every Admirals Club in all 5 terminals. Skylink makes every lounge reachable from any gate in minutes.
